Pain is an individual experience, and it usually relates to a sensation that hurts and gives a feeling of discomfort, distress and anguish. Man experiences two types of pain namely, Acute pain and Chronic pain.

Acute pain is an intense pain, which usually occurs when there is an injury and tends to go away once treated or healed. Pain usually lasts longer in chronic pain and its intensity could vary from mild to severe.

There are two major kinds of pain experienced in a human body.

Muscular Skeletal pain: In this, the pain receptors are sensitive to inflammation within the joints, a muscle cramp or are sensitive to vibration or stretch in the muscles.

Some Examples are: Achy Joints, Sore Muscles, Headaches, PMS Cramps, Digestive Pain and Heartburn.

Nerve pain: This pain affects the nerves by transmitting signals to and from the brain. The pain associated with nerve damage can eventually damage the central nervous system (CNS), which includes the brain and the spinal cord.

Examples that can cause nerve damage are diabetes, trauma, chemotherapy drugs, and stroke.

Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever.
Lance Armstrong

Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding.
