How to Get Over a Fear of Death
What are Life and Death and how are they Related?
Life and Death are two words that go together. They are like the 2 sides of a coin. When we experience life, cells within us are always multiplying, growing and eventually dying off but then the cells follow the same cycle umpteen times.
The same way, life and death, follow the same journey as the cells in our body.
Life is such a beautiful creation, we rejoice at it, and we celebrate it but, unfortunately; when death comes, we do not part with the person's body in a happy way...The attachment to the person and the memories make us sad.
Life and Death have a similar meaning but in a different context. When we get a life, we get a body with a soul and get to experience all the joys and sorrows of our previous karma's.
When death comes, our body is given away in the fire or buried and, our soul is liberated. Once the soul is liberated, we are accountable for our deeds. And depending on our Karma's, we get another birth.

What happens to the Soul after the Judgement Day?
Once the Soul has been accounted for it's deeds with the past body, a new body is given to us depending on what grade we passed out. We could get the body of an animal or bird or another human being depending on our previous deeds.
What is Soul Connection?
This soul has a new body now and will make new friends and family. I believe this soul will make friends, which were of his acquaintance of his previous lives. So, when a body dies, we should not feel sad since this soul is going to meet us with another body and will undoubtedly interact with us in lifetimes to come. The soul connection is an extremely strong bond and even though the bodies will keep changing, our souls will not fail to meet up.
We should realize that just as Life is a part of nature so, is Death. We have no option of deleting that part from our lives. We have to be at peace when we realize that our time has come to say Adios to our loved ones and be at peace within our self.
I believe that the number of lives we live will help us clean out our previous karma's, which will eventually put us in a better state of consciousness, and our soul will be in a much better state or should I say that our soul will have seasoned out, and that will help our soul to unify with the Almighty and thus liberate us from the cycle of life and death.
My earlier belief on death was to mourn over the loss, but recently when I saw my Dad suffer to Cancer and while seeing him in so much pain and suffering. It made me realize that life is better at the other junction i.e. the after life where he will be pain free and will be able to move around easily. I had no alternative but to think of that and embracing Death was the only way that he will get solace and peace since these cancerous cells had spread all over the body and there was no way to kill them.
I realized that fearing over Death is not an option and just as we feel overjoyed when we see a new life emerge; the same way we ought to embrace Death as a beginning to a new journey since a new body will be given which will be so pure and soft and that I will have my soul connection with all my loved ones.
However, the above example made me mentally prepare for the journey beyond Death, and I could accept it with open arms.
A sudden loss of someone you love
Sure, there will be shock and dismay and one would question such as WHY? But then, we all know that life is a journey, and maybe our journey with that person was only till that point.
Being unattached to the particular situation will help us heal faster, and get up and get moving.
Ponder on this...
In this hustle bustle of our daily life we should not forget the core of our happiness and contentment.
We have to accept Death and be prepared for it since; it cannot be avoided and Yama (the Lord of Death) does not come with a knock on the door.
Let us open our arms to the word Death and discuss it as openly as we discuss our plans for the weekend. This will only help us prepare well and enlighten us.
Let us be prepared with all the necessary paperwork for our families to fall back upon when we are not around. Death and Birth are the inevitable.
