Who is Guru?
Guru...is defined as the one who is regarded as having great knowledge, wisdom and authority in a certain area, and who uses it to guide others.
How does a Guru influence our life?
We start our life under a guru, he who has seen more life than us. He teaches us to talk, walk and eat.
We start going to school where we have a teacher. She gives us knowledge and makes us smart thinkers by making us analyze everything.
We start to work. Our Boss is our mentor. He shows us around. He trains us, as it being our first job.
In our life, we have come across many mentors in our life. They have guided us and trained us. In return, they ask nothing. Isn't that amazing in this materialistic world, we still come across MANY such people who work for nothing.
What makes these mentors so selfless?
What drives them in that direction? What motivates them? They are just as normal human beings like us, they have a happy day and a sad day. Do we ever come to know about it. They always work with a smile. They hear us out and guide us through our technicality but hardly do we get this picture from them that life is a roller coaster ride for them, just like us. Their happy face, with that happy smile trying to hide their pains makes us learn the stuff that we have approached them for.
That's what a teacher is all about. A guru, who has a spiritually enlightened soul, who can dispel darkness, ignorance and illusion from the mind and enlighten the conscious of a devotee/disciple/student.
They make us happy and they have taught us HOW to show it. Happiness can always be seen on our face and we can express it more by doing some expressions such as clapping to a tune, nodding in harmony etc.
In my life, I have had so many guru's who have bestowed their knowledge on me. It's my turn now, I would like to return this to the society that I live in, by giving knowledge and enlightening someone's mind.
