Tree Hugger

When we look outside our window... what do you find?
Greenery, trees, bushes and plants of various colors. We usually take a deep breath and forget about the origin of it. We are so involved in our daily problems that we forget to appreciate the beauty around us. The Almighty has surrounded us with so many different colors. We should take time to appreciate it while we breathe.
We do realize that each breath we breathe is so pure and so fresh. That comes from the trees, plants around us.
Do we ever take a minute to thank them.
No, not me!
I have taken the greenery for granted. I feel that as long as our planet earth has water, we will have greenery and with that we will get oxygen. But, that is not true. The trees, plants are not obliged to serve us forever.
What if, they reverse on God's Law.
They start taking in oxygen and giving out carbon dioxide. With so much recombinant cloning happening world wide we could get a change in our cycle. Wow, that sure would be another science fiction movie in the making for now!!
But, thank fully the above has NOT been possible. So, how about we take a minute or two to appreciate the nature.
We could be a tree hugger and appreciate the tree for all that he has given us. The food to eat, and the fresh air and a healthy body. Every breathe we take, helps us tackle each problem in our lives. This breathe is our saviour just like water and food is. Then how about we extend our arms around a tree next time and hug it and thank for all the wonderful things we are enjoying today.
Appreciating all that we have today, will make us look into it as a blessing tomorrow when we are lying low in spirits.
Tree Hugger?

Trees are as important to humanity as life itself. A nice treat of the subject. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and wisdom.
I have never hugged a tree, but now I plan to. Thanks for the inspiration. Your writing in this piece is so beautiful and serene. Very peaceful. I really liked it. Lots of votes, including up. Sharing!
Loved this hub! I am a big time tree hugger..I love trees..Thank you ..Very insightful and beautiful!
i think every one needs to appreciate the nature that is around us, it offers us so many benefits and yet so much of it is destroyed! voted up, awesome, and interesting!
Nice thoughts. This could make a good Arbor Day tribute. I know there is an Arbor Day. Not sure when. Sometime in April, I think!
did you know that in the upper reaches of the Himalayas there was a movement launched called the CHIPKO movement.(literally translated "the HUG movement) where entire villages went and hugged trees that were in danger of illegal felling. This movement was led Sunder lal bahuguna and initially was mostly run by women.
This resulted in national attention being drawn to the deforestation and those villages are today still green thanks to the hugs.
Another view point on this is that like all living beings trees have auras too and emit energy and if we hug them and treat them well besides the physical benefits of more oxygen and lower temperatures etc we will also get energy from them.A good idea to hug one then Ruchira!
I am blessed with at least 30 trees around my house besides shrubs and creepers and in a place like Delhi I guess I am very very lucky.I will go hug them now.
I do not go around hugging trees but I love them. I speak to my plants and people wonder how my plants are always better than theirs.. My orchids flower in all seasons.. my lilies bloom through out the year..I cannot imagine a life without trees and plants... My world is always surrounded by beauty... Have a blessed day! Peace!
