Days of the week
66
A week consists of 7 days...out of those 7 days in a week,
Sunday, goes in Laundry, Grocery, cleaning up and getting ready for work.
Monday, goes in the Monday Blues. We are not ready for this day of the week and usually have a hang over or sulk over the loads of work on our desks.
Tuesday, we realize that there is no option. We have to work our butt off otherwise how will we continue paying our bills so, we start to put our life into gear.
Wednesday, we are toiling through the papers, and racking our brain to pull off all kinds of tactics in order to get work done.
Thursday, we are staring out the window as if a prisoner about to set free. We start making plans for the weekend.
Friday, who works on this day? We all Thank God that it is Friday (TGIF) and go and chill with a beer and some free snacks in happy hour.
Saturday, we are up, way early than we usually get up on weekdays and want to make full use of this 1 day by enjoying and being carefree. Wish we could remove the batteries of all the clocks in the world and halt time. Wish we could blast a rocket outside and tie up Earth so that it does not spin and time freezes.
But alas, time never stays the same and we move on and Sunday comes. We are back to our routine of cleaning, washing and tidying so that we keep the dignity of humans and not be compared to dogs.
Such are the days of the week for most of us and we shall continue to live for the weekend and slog on the weekdays.
Why has Man made his life so boring? Why are we always thinking out of box only on Weekends? Why can't we sprinkle some fun and laughter on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of every week of our lives? If we learn to live each day to the fullest rather than drag ourselves to Friday, Saturday & Sunday...wonder for how long we can live?
Let us ponder on the above questions and try to bring some changes in our lifestyle and our attitude towards life.

Nice article Ruchira. Enjoyed! You could almost write a poem with your cycle.
I remember in my childhood we used to learn a poem (in Hindi -I think you may follow) "Somwar ko lagati shala (school)- Mangal ka din bada nirala -buddhwar ko bani mithai-guruwar ko dat kar khai- shukrawar ko thodi pai- phir aai adhe din ki chchutti - adhe din ki chchutti shaniwar ko (In those days Saturday was not weekend)pure din ki chchutti ravi var ko.
Your description is also quite poetic.
Interesting article. How different it would have been if we thought the days in a different way! Each day can be enjoyable.
I used to be all about fridays but now, after writing and going to school all week, I live for saturdays. Voted up!
oh, anytime. Cheers to you!
Life is all about ups and down. You ve illustrated it here. Awesome!
Clever! : )
Many people feel this way about the week, and I was one of them. I am glad I feel the way you do now and try to put more life into the week as well. Very clever how you incorporated all the links in here with your message.
I used to look at the week this way. I hated Sundays because it meant Monday was the next day and back to work. I loved Thursdays because Friday was next. Now I like Mondays as there is peace and quiet throughout the house. I don't like Fridays anymore as it means grocery shopping, something I do not enjoy.
If one shuts himself from the world to be self-contained and contented, there are no week days, but only years leaving their imprints on the face.
why did you do this on a Tuesdayy ruchira? we got 5 more days to go till Sunday(i also work half days on Saturdays)and am just getting ready to get to office on a Tuesday following a weekend in which Monday was a holiday.urrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
An amusing way to divide the week. Voting this Up and Interesting.
It's so true how we are always wishing our lives away. Right now, I'm having the opportunity to work from home, so I love every day. I don't dread Mondays anymore! I loved your hub. Very funny and true, too. Voted up and everything. sharing!
Hi Ruchira! It is beautiful how you have used humor to enlighten us with the fact that how lifeless we humans have become.
Amid the jobs the menial fridays, stuffed saturdays and littered sundays.. we have forgotten to spare a thought to just let it all go for once and live.... if not for our own then ourselves atleat
Great hub!
That was quite interesting to read. I can see how people can get stuck in a rut of a routine. We must choose to make everyday a carefree and fun one! Great read, thank you!
Shared, interesting & up!
This was a very entertaining article with an incredible motivational push at the end! I am so glad you wrote this. Thanks for the inspiration - I am going to strive to enjoy every day even more!
Ruchira loved this one. You are so very right we have to sprinkle magic on each and every day - don't know how long we have got in this beautiful world. Voted up - awesome.
